Hakeem Mehtab Uddin Hashmi College of Law has been established by Smt. Shakira Begum w/o Late Hakeem Mehtab Uddin Hashmi under the aegis of Hashmi Human Resources Development Society. One of the most important objectives of the society is to spread and disseminate education-academic as well as job oriented. The noble endeavour to spread the light of learning, knowledge and enlightenment has started giving results. The Society has been instrumental in empowering womenfolk of the district through its Hashmi Girls Degree College. Following the traditions of Islam, as preached and practised by our beloved Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) and His Successors, the HHRDS and its allied institutions have served and shall continue serving all the communities without discrimination, maintaining high standards of excellence in education, secularism and patriotism.

            The Hakeem Mehtab Uddin Hashmi College of Law is situated at Amroha, Dhanoura Road of Jyotiba Phule Nagar. It is at a distance of about 1 Km. from the famous Dargah of Hadharat Shah Vilayat. Amroha is a forward looking and upwardly mobile city. It boasts of six Degree Colleges already. Amroha is well-connected, by rail and road, to the rest of the country.

            The Hakeem Mehtab Uddin Hashmi College of Law has embarked on its academic journey from the session 2006-2007 with its 3 year Professional Course. The College has been allotted 160 seats of the Course. The College is being run under the Self Finance Scheme. The College aspires to be one of the premier institutions of legal education in the country. The College is affiliated to the M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, U.P. and is duly approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

We at H.M.U. Hashmi Law College ensure that the study module is designed and re-designed with the sole aim to benefit the students.  The entire modeling is designed to hold close the concept of student centered learning.  It is now agreed to worldwide after numerous researches that students develop deep learning faster than surface learning if their core subject study is depended on a plethora of previous case studies.  Therefore, at H.M.U. Hashmi Law College, the theory classes operate on open door policy. Students are prompted to ask relevant questions before the lecture and after the lecture. An opportunity of going through study materials on a one to one basis is given by asking students to practice past question papers and hint questions prepared every year. Lecturers are also instructed to go through them with the student individually.  It is thus ensured that an individual back up through human face interaction is provided.

The College building has been beautifully designed and well constructed with adequate space for Class-rooms, Library, Reading Room, Common Room, Moot Court and Canteen. The College campus has a highly salubrious and sylvan background, a treat for the lovers of Nature.
